AN E-SCOOTER has been seized after its owner was caught illegally riding it on a public footpath in a Herefordshire town.

The e-scooter was spotted being ridden "at considerable speed" on a public footpath on June 18, said police community support officer Kirsten Kysow of West Mercia Police's Ledbury safer neighbourhood team.

E-scooters are currently illegal to use on public roads, pavements, cycle lanes and pedestrian only areas.
