I WAS in Aldi on June 13 and, having put all my shopping through the checkout, I was getting my card out pay when the lady on the till told me I didn’t need to.

When I asked why, she told me the man behind me had already paid for it.

I was dumbstruck by it. I went out of the shop and then thought I should have waited for him to thank him, but by then he had already gone.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to that man. I so appreciate what he has done and I shall remember this kindness for the rest of my life.

I do not know who he was, but if more people were like him we would not have so much trouble!

I shall certainly keep doing whatever I can to make other peoples’ lives happier.
