A CRASH on a major Herefordshire road has caused heavy traffic.
The crash caused significant tailbacks on the busy B4224.
West Mercia Police confirmed that two vehicles crashed, but said that no one had been injured and that no arrests had been made.
The crash on the road, between Ross-on-Wye and Hereford, was at How Caple, police said.
Police warned drivers to avoid the area if they could, warning of "long tailbacks" of traffic on the B4224. They went on to thank people for their patience.

A police spokesperson said: "We were called to Crossways in How Caple after 5.45pm on June 27 following a two-vehicle collision. Nobody was injured and no arrests were made."
A spokesperson added at 6.30pm yesterday (June 27): "Please find an alternative route if you can as there are long tailbacks in all directions. Thank you for your patience."
The road re-opened at 7.45pm, according to West Mercia Police's Twitter account.
