An outstanding 16th-century black and white thatched property with two additional holiday lets is up for sale in the Herefordshire area.

On the market with Sidney Phillips, The Steppes offers three high-quality, self-contained buildings. The property is listed on Zoopla as a hotel, with accommodation being offered from two holiday lets and the main, family house carrying the potential to be returned to its former use as a bed and breakfast establishment.

Both holiday lets offer a king-sized bedroom, with their self-catering form of accommodation. The UpStairs suite features a luxurious shower room with a walk-in shower, Italian-designed washbasin and underfloor heating.

The suite also boasts a fully loaded kitchen with a sink/drainer, an oven with ceramic hob above, a fridge and ample storage. UpStairs has both an indoor dining area, and a picnic spot in the wonderful wild garden. As the name suggests, this let is only accessible via a flight of stairs.

The second holiday let, Garden Lodge, certainly lives up to its name, making its secluded garden the focal point of the property. The enormous windows bring in plenty of natural light. The lodge also features a cosy lounge and bedroom, both overlooking the garden.

The agents said the current business has been developed by the current owners since 2010, first operating as a bed and breakfast with sales in the region of £80,000 before being run as a family home with separate letting cottages bringing in around £25,000.

“By the vendors' own admission this is due to them not pushing the business, with limited advertising,” the agents said.

The Steppes is on the market for £775,000.
