A HEREFORD church has been targeted by burglars, with garden tools and machinery stolen.
A padlock was broken off a shed door at St Andrew's Church in the burglary, which is understood to have happened on June 26, said police community support officer Tally Hunt of the South Wye safer neighbourhood team.
The burglars made off from the church with an orange petrol mower, an orange and grey petrol strummer, an older orange petrol strimmer, and a green petrol can with two-stroke in it, PCSO Hunt said.

No brand or model names were supplied for the items stolen, while PCSO Hunt confirmed that the burglary was not caught on camera, with no CCTV available at the church.
"If you have noticed any suspicious activity around the stated date, please ensure you let the local policing team know," PCSO Hunt said.
"Please make sure that all your belongings are secure, locked away, and out of sight."
