A BUSY road in Herefordshire was blocked by an overturned lorry yesterday evening (July 5).
National Highways contractors were called to the A449 northbound in Ross-on-Wye shortly after 9pm.
National Highways says a lorry overturned between the junction with the A40 at Labels roundabout and junction four of the M50.
A spokesperson said: "The A449 is closed between the A40 and the M50 junction four due to a lorry that has overturned. National Highways contractors are on scene."

The road reopened after 11pm, with National Highways saying: "The A449 northbound between the A40 and the M50 junction four in Herefordshire has now reopened following the earlier overturned lorry. Thank you for your patience, no significant delays are reported."
The traffic was said to be moving at 11.30pm.
Traffic has now returned to normal on the busy A449, which connects major routes in Herefordshire and is home to several popular fast food chains including KFC, Burger King, Greggs, Subway and Starbucks.
