ON Friday, July 5, I awoke to a new world in North Herefordshire: a Green Party MP and a Labour government.
Breathing a sigh of relief, I was filled with hope and joy because we’ve been in the doldrums for far too long.

Even paying tax is joyful if the NHS is there for us, everyone has a home, the right to a good education, transport, enough food and heating in the winter. This is what we need, not just for ourselves but for all our neighbours.
If our new political leaders prioritise our well being and the sustainability of the planet above profit and they make a contribution to peace in the world, then this new beginning is really something for us all to celebrate.
