IT seems generally agreed that farmer John Price’s actions fell foul of the powers that be, when he cleared the bank of the Wye (Rebel’s action: your views, July 4).
I find it curious that he was brought to court by an agency which has steadily allowed the banks of the river to be eroded anyway. This leads to even large trees falling into the river as soil is washed away from the roots.

Again, we know now that the Wye has been increasingly contaminated over a significant number of years with no real attempt to bring those responsible to justice.
I wonder how many of the substantial majority against his activities have experienced flooding on a number of occasions and how many of the villagers in the vicinity were opposed to his actions?
