A NEW shop is opening in this Herefordshire town soon.

Symonds of Hereford, a long-established independent menswear retailer, will be opening the new store in Drapers Lane, Leominster tomorrow (July 12).

The shop will be based in what was formerly the Four Seasons hardware shop, which served the town for over 30 years before shutting down in late October last year.

The shopfront has been partially repainted from its previous dark green to a light grey, and an ornate lamp has been installed in the doorway. A blue and gold sign that reads ‘Symonds of Leominster’ has been fitted above the door.

The shop's summer range is already on display in the window, with plenty of funky floral shirts as well as more traditional country clothing on offer.

When it opens the new shop will be the only one of its kind in the town, as while there are a number of women’s boutiques there is a complete lack of menswear outlets in Leominster. It will also be Symonds’s only store outside of Hereford.
