A DRUG-DRIVER was caught behind the wheel in Herefordshire when he was almost five times the cannabis limit.
Shaun Halliwell, 56, of the Leys, Cradley, had 9.8 microgrammes (mg) of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood when police stopped him in Bye Street in Ledbury.
The limit for delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol is two mg.
He was driving a silver Peugeot 308 in Bye Street on December 15 last year when he was caught, said prosecutor Lauren Millichip for the Crown Prosecution Service.
He was arrested at 11.37am and found to have excess drugs in his system.
Superintendent Steph Brighton of West Mercia said at the time of Halliwell’s arrest: “It’s frustrating that some motorists inexcusably still drive over the limit.”
