TRIBUTES have been paid to a member of Herefordshire's Bulmer family who has died at the age of 87.

A message from the Bulmer family, posted on Facebook group ‘H P Bulmer Employees past and present’, read: “It is with great sadness that we report that Mr David Bulmer died last Friday [June 28] at the age of 87.

“Grandson of Percy Bulmer, David worked for Bulmers for 40 years and joined the Company board in 1964 when his uncle, Howard Bulmer, was Chairman.

“As chairman of the trustees of the HP Bulmer pension schemes, David worked hard to protect the pension benefits of employees, ensuring a favourable outcome for members of the schemes following the acquisition of Bulmer’s by Scottish & Newcastle in 2003.”
