A TEAM of Herefordshire carers are in the running for an award after a glowing nomination.
Nominator Abigail Chapman said she wanted to nominate Altogether Care for the Health or Care Team Award in this year's Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards because “this company goes above and beyond for all of their clients, morning, noon and night.
“They work to a very high standard, not just in personal care but emotional care and general hygiene of all client’s homes,” as Altogether Care offer both physical care homes and assisted living services.
The team provide this service simply because “there’s no need to struggle with day-to-day tasks. Care in your home means you keep your independence, stay in your own home and get help and support to make life easier and more enjoyable,” says the care organisation’s website.
Ms Chapman describes the outcome of this being a great deal of service users getting the best quality care to which they are entitled. All of this is made possible by the staff’s “caring nature and their outstanding communication: no carer is sent to a client without knowing the ins and outs of previous visits.”
The care company have continued to provide outstanding care since their Health or Care Team Award win back in 2019. Altogether Care’s Helen Gordon was also awarded The Care Hero Award last year.
What are the Health and Social Care Awards?
The Health and Social Care Awards are an annual award ceremony, held by the Hereford Times, to recognise the hard work, dedication, innovation, and care delivered across our county’s health and social care sector. With focus on the individuals and their stories, it’s the people who make the difference.
In recent years, the people of Herefordshire have shown their support for the awards by nominating someone they know who deserves it. We hope that communities will join together once more in celebrating people like Altogether Care.
The Health and Social Care Awards 2024 will take place on Thursday October 3, 7pm at the Hereford racecourse, but the closing date for nominations is August 4, 2024.
