A CHARACTERFUL Herefordshire village pub is up for sale.

The black and white Corners Inn in Kingsland is on the market with agents Christie&Co with an asking price of £975,000.

The agents said the pub offers a "beautiful period building which has been sympathetically extended", recommending internal viewings to appreciate its character and size.

Inside, the pub's trading area has space to accommodate up to 60 covers with a flexible layout to suit bookings, functions and parties.

There is also a well-equipped commercial kitchen and large storage areas, alongside a ground floor beer cellar and customer toilets, the agents said.

The owners accommodation offers a kitchen and family bathroom alongside three to four bedrooms and a good-sized living room, while there are also 10 "modern and spacious" letting rooms with ensuites.

The agents said the pub's recent annual reported turnover was £749,246 and that they are waiting for full accounts to be completed.

The Corners promises a "wide selection" of locally produced food and drink seven days a week, opening for lunch and evenings Mondays to Saturdays and from midday to 5pm on Sundays.

The pub currently boasts a rating of 4.5 out of five on reviews website Tripadvisor, with 103 of its 124 reviewers rating it as excellent or very good. 

Reviewer Bigmattsworld praised the sharing platters and "good friendly service" from the owners, while fellow reviewer tardigrade1 said the pub is a "centre of excellence".
