A HEREFORD man who attacked another man in Hereford has been handed a community order.
Jonathan Taylor, 29, of Perseverance Road, Hereford, pleaded guilty to one count of racially aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was sentenced on July 17 at Hereford Magistrates’ Court where he was ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid work over 12 months and attend up to 15 days of rehabilitation appointments over 18 months.
The amount of work and length of community order were both uplifted because the offence, which happened in July last year, was aggravated by racism.

Taylor was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £114 victim surcharge which helps fund services supporting victims of crime.
He must make payment to the court in full by August 14.
Police constable Stobbart has previously spoken out about racist attacks, saying: “This will not be tolerated by West Mercia Police. Hate crime will be taken seriously.”
