A MAN hurled abuse and caused damage to the homes of his ex-partner and her family – but has avoided paying any compensation.
Keller Preece is already in prison, meaning the 26-year-old is unable to contribute any money to reimbuse his ex or her family for the £460 worth of damage he caused to their homes.
He appeared in Hereford Magistrates’ Court on July 17 and pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage valued under £5,000 and one count of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.
He had damaged a door, a window and a light in two incidents in January.

Preece, of Kingsway, Hereford, was said to already be facing a lengthy custodial sentence and “unable to pay compensation”.
He was not handed a separate penalty for causing damage or being abusive, but was told not to contact his ex or the family members he targeted. The restraining order will last until 2034.
Preece also avoided paying a victim surcharge and any court costs as these were deemed “inappropriate”.
