WE give in to all the idiots that think water courses do not need management, man has managed waterways for thousands of years (Letters, July 18).

Herefordshire farmer John Price did right. No way did he deserve jail.

The man did a brilliant job and is a hero.
So he killed the odd water vole or frog. Look at the river now!
