A WOMAN has admitted assault by beating when she appeared in court in Hereford.
Emma Bufton, 38, from Weobley, Herefordshire, pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating in Weobley, in an incident that happened on May 20 in the small north Herefordshire village.
Assault by beating is an offence under section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988.

She appeared before magistrates at Hereford Magistrates’ Court on July 24 when magistrates heard from prosecuting solicitor Camilla Toscano that she assaulted a man by beating him in an attack earlier this year.
Magistrates handed Bufton, who was represented in court by defence solicitor Marilena Divitantonio of GC Law, a nine-month conditional discharge, taking her guilty plea into account.
She was ordered to pay prosecution costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85 but no victim surcharge, which goes towards helping victims of crime, or compensation was ordered to be paid by Bufton.
