A CLASS A drug has been ordered to be destroyed after it was found in the possession of a Hereford man.
Charlie Beament entered a guilty plea to one count of possessing a controlled class A drug when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in July.
The court heard from Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor Camilla Toscano that the 29-year-old had been caught in possession of a quantity of controlled class A drug cocaine in Hereford on January 6 last year.
Beament, who is of Shelwick, Hereford, was handed a £120 fine following the offence, with magistrates saying they took his guilty plea into account.

The cocaine was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed under section 27 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
He was ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 but no victim surcharge was ordered.
