A DRUG-DRIVER from Hereford has been handed a ban and a hefty fine after he was caught while over three times the limit.
Gabriel Weclawski entered a guilty plea to one count of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.
The court heard from prosecutor Camilla Toscano that the 40-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra on the A4137 in Glewstone, near Ross-on-Wye, while over the drug-drive limit on December 29 last year.
An evidential blood test revealed he had 6.2 microgrammes (mg) of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood. This exceeded the legal driving limit for the drug, which is two mg.

He must also pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £180 victim surcharge.
His guilty plea was taken into account by magistrates when imposing the penalty.
