WHILST fully supporting the intention to erect a statue of a bull outside Miller & Carter at Hereford’s Old Market, the plan for a foreign-looking one I cannot agree with (Revealed: this is the new bull statue that could be coming to Hereford, July 25).

We ought to celebrate our local heritage, so once again a statue of a Hereford bull would be absolutely appropriate.
The posture need not replicate the one in High Town, but one appropriate to that used to be found the old cattle market.
