TWO Hereford care homes took to the woods to fundraise in memory of much-loved residents.
Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford Care Homes took part in a heartwarming memory walk, in honour of two past, beloved residents.
The commemorative walk, which was organised to raise funds for St Michaels Hospice, was held at Queenswood near Leominster. The charity walk united staff, residents and friends and family, in a “celebration of life and community” and in memory of the two residents.
Walkers embarked on a picturesque journey in the basking sunshine through the arboretum, with the event raising over £400 for the Bartestree based charity which provides end-of-life care in Herefordshire and surrounding counties, as well as other local charities.

“Raising over £400 for St Michael's Hospice is a tremendous achievement, and we are delighted to contribute to their invaluable work.
“They were very dear to us, and it was heartwarming to see everyone come together to honour their memory in such a meaningful way,” she added.
Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford Care Home have said they look forward to continuing their support for St Michael's Hospice and other local initiatives.
