AN ARREST has been made after five people were taken to hospital from a crash in Herefordshire.

Emergency crews were called to the scene of the crash in Bartestree, near Hereford, after receiving reports of a two-vehicle crash on August 3, just before midnight.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said one person was arrested on suspicion of failing to provide their details.

Five people were taken to hospital.

"We were called at 11.40pm on August 3. Five people were taken to hospital by ambulance. One person was arrested," the spokesperson said.

A fire service spokesperson said the two vehicles were made safe by firefighters who left the scene in the early hours of the morning on August 4.

"Two fire and rescue service crews from Hereford Fire Station were called at 11.51pm on August 3. The incident involved two vehicles which were made safe by fire service personnel. The road between the A438 and the A4103 was closed. Five casualties were handed over to the care of the ambulance who attended along with police," the spokesperson said.
