TWO men have been in court after stealing shoes and socks from a shop in Hereford.
Alin Closca entered a guilty plea to one count of theft from a shop and Robert Radu entered guilty pleas to two counts of theft from a shop.
In July, Hereford Magistrates’ Court heard from prosecutor Camila Toscano that Closca, 24, and Radu, 23, had stolen shoes and socks worth £300 from TK Maxx in the city’s Old Market on May 24.
Radu had previously stolen £400 worth of shoes from the same shop the day before.
Both men are from Cinderford in the Forest of Dean and were ordered to pay compensation. They paid £150 each for the shoes and socks they stole together, with Radu paying a further £300 for his earlier theft.
Closca, of High Street, was fined £250 while Radu, of Market Street, was fined £416.
They were both ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £166 each.
