WEST Mercia Police have said that they are working with other agencies to "be prepared" after large-scale disorder in the UK.
Although no riots have taken place in the county, or elsewhere in West Mercia, and police say there is no confirmed intelligence of planned activity, officers have released statements responding to local concern.

Police and crime commissioner John Campion said: "The riots that we have seen elsewhere in the country will no doubt have caused concern to all groups.
"In West Mercia, we have not seen those same events. Should we find ourselves in a situation where that changes, I know that we have resources to take action."
Assistant chief constable Grant Wills said: "We understand that there is concern among our communities and we remain a visible presence in our communities.
"Given the national news there is a reaction to share rumours that you may see online, but misinformation is unhelpful. Check trusted sources for the facts before you share.
"While we won't comment on rumours, so as not to encourage disorder, be assured that if action is needed this message will be loud and clear."
