A Ledbury filming specialist firm have secured two weeks of filming on board a cruise ship for an upcoming major movie.

IDP Film’s Mark and Paul Edwards have landed an amazing opportunity to hold a major shoot for the fifth instalment of “India’s biggest comedy franchise”.

The company pride themselves on being “a leading service provider to the film and television industry, offering Academy Award winning gyro-stabilized UAS Aerial Drone Platforms to our clients,” says the filmmakers’ website.

Established in 1989, IDP have 35 years of experience in working on projects for MotoGP, Formula 1, World Superbikes and major Bollywood and TV film companies. "We never let up, because we know we only look good when you do".

Back in 2015, a chance meeting with a Bollywood producer while filming at Eastnor Castle in Ledbury led to IDP being commissioned to help film a Bollywood movie. Now, almost ten years later, the genre of Bollywood now provides 50 per cent of IDP’s commercial filming.

The cruise will be setting sail from Newcastle on September 16 and docking in Italy on September 30. A further 26 days of filming around the UK is also scheduled for this October. "We have filmed at some amazing locations such as Blenheim Palace for Bollywood, and Rothschilds' Waddesdon Manor” say the brothers.

Paul said being twins has given IDP a unique skill-set – the ability to fly and film at the same time. Mark pilots a UAS aerial drone platform, while Paul operates the camera, capturing all of the action. "We are able to operate together as one, as the film director requests," Paul said.

"We don't make any mistakes and reshoots are not usually requested, remember time is money on large film sets.” Their latest project of Housefull 5, set for release next year, will be shooting in Italy, Norway, London and Spain.

In an Instagram post by megastar Akshay Khan, the movie will be bringing fans of the previous Housefull movies "five times more entertainment".

The Bollywood comedy film will be hitting cinemas on June 6, 2025.
