Visit Herefordshire has announced the launch of its ‘Summer of Fun’ – a programme packed with free of charge events and activities taking place in the market towns across the county.
FROM August 19 to 30 (excluding weekends) and between 10am and 4pm, local families and visitors alike can enjoy the multitude of events Visit Herefordshire have in store.
Offering a relief to local parents and carers looking to entertain kids in the second half of the summer holidays, children can channel their inner Robin Hood with archery, test their balance on the surf simulator, or reach new heights with the pop-up climbing wall. Creatives will enjoy the craft workshops, the opportunity to learn circus skills or give balloon modelling a go.
Diane Mansell, Chief Executive of the Herefordshire County BID said “Herefordshire’s Summer of Fun programme has been designed to attract locals and visitors to the fabulous market towns of Kington, Bromyard, Ledbury, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye, providing free of charge events for families in the final stages of school summer holiday.
“Each of the towns has its own unique character, but all offer a warm welcome and lots to see and do. We look forward to welcoming families to enjoy all the different events we’re hosting, and the lively café scene, local attractions and great shopping whilst visiting”
You can find Bromyard’s Summer of Fun on the grass site next to the Town Council offices, Kington’s at the Place de Marines, Ledbury’s in the New Market Square, Leominster’s at The Grange (adjacent to Grange Court) and Ross-on-Wye’s at the Rope Walk.
