LOOKING for things happening in Herefordshire?
We've compiled some upcoming events to keep all the family busy in the county, including a family fun day and free drama workshops for visually impaired people.
These are three of the events published in the what's on section of the Hereford Times this week (August 22).
Walford Village Hall Summer Fun Day
A DOG show, a Disney-themed fancy dress contest, games and a packed schedule of family entertainment awaits at Walford Village Hall on Monday, August 26, for a summer family fun day.
This year, the event will stage a Disney-themed fancy dress contest in addition to a giant inflatable slide for children.
The ever-popular dog show returns, boasting ten different classes ranging from the best fancy-dressed dog and the waggiest tail to the best sausage catcher and king of the show.
The event, at Walford Village Hall, near Ross-on-Wye, promises to be a day of fun with a range of traditional children’s games including splat the rat, hook-a-duck and sack races.
In addition, a huge range of stalls will offer a huge variety of exciting goods and games, including Teddy Tombola, hand-made jewellery, crochet, crafts, tarot reading, Pokemon cards, frames and Pokemon art, jams and jellies and sweet treats to name but a few.
Food and drink is also available ranging from Midnight Pizza to Soup by T, ice cream, cakes and so much more.
Entry to the fun day is £1 for adults. Children and dogs go free. Entry fee to the dog show is £2 per class, you can enter as many classes as you like but some restrictions apply.
Rosettes will be awarded for first and second places. Entries will be taken from 11am under the trees just left of the gate as you enter the hall car park.
Judging starts at midday for classes one to five and at 2pm for classes six to 10. Dogs can be entered into the competition until just before the class is being judged. Please remember to bring cash as there will not be card facilities.

Robert Milne exhibition
A LOCAL artist is looking for people who own his paintings to help out with his exhibition at De Koffie Pot from September 7 to 15.
Robert Milne, an artist from Ludlow, said: If you do own one of my paintings, would you be willing to lend it for an exhibition as part of H.Art week? The exhibition will be at De Koffie Pot from September 7 to 15. I would be pleased to hear from owners of drawings or paintings, for their possible inclusion in the exhibition. Please email r.milne@yahoo.co.uk or ring 01432 279740.
"It will be the first time I have been involved with H.Art, as I stopped doing art work in 1998, before H-Art began. It will, therefore, be a small retrospective show, mostly of drawings and paintings done over 22 years from 1976, which was when I arrived in Ludlow from Hertfordshire."
