A HEREFORDSHIRE venue has been named as one of the best places for a festival-style wedding in the UK.

The summer has seen many weddings take place across the UK’s various music festivals already, with even more planned before festival season comes to a close later this month.

For many couples, having a wedding in the right location is key to nailing the festival theme. One of the UK’s most popular festival wedding venues as named by Hitched, those unable to make it to their favourite music festival can bring the festival to them by choosing to book their wedding with The Orchard at Munsley.

Based in Herefordshire, the two-time Hitched Wedding Award winner offers a rural, idyllic outdoor spot and hosts a maximum of 15 weddings per year in the unique apple orchards. Therefore, couples looking for a fun, relaxed festival experience will need to book far in advance.

According to The Orchard’s website, the venue “provides complete versatility for any wedding theme of your choice in the tipis.  The whole venue is yours for the duration, so you can relax and enjoy your special day without feeling rushed”.

Zoe Burke, leading wedding expert and editor of Hitched.co.uk, shares advice for those planning a festival wedding such as those of The Orchard.

She suggests considering logistics of the festival wedding with careful planning, keeping it practical with portable decorations and wearing outfits as practical and simple as possible. “While wellies might not be what everyone dreams about for their wedding footwear, there’s absolutely no place for satin heels or white flats at a festival,” said Ms Burke.

Letters should not exceed 250 words and local issues take precedence.

The expert also suggests making the experience shareable enough for your whole guest list to get involved and creating an outlet to cherish precious memories to capture the magic with a QR code or app for guests sharing pictures from the day.

Last but not least, Ms Burke encourages couples to embrace the novelty, the “casual vibes” and to “hit the food trucks hard”.
