The buzzing Hereford Indie Festival is returning to Hereford’s city centre on the bank holiday from August 23 to August 26, and it's certainly going to be a blast this year.
This year promises not to disappoint, with it being more jam-packed than ever. From a variety of intriguing and delicious food stalls to headline acts, you wouldn't want to miss out. Here are some of the top food, music, and shopping highlights you can expect from the bank holiday weekend:
Electrifying music acts:
With famous headliners such as Feeder and Gabrielle descending on the streets of Hereford, why wouldn't you want to join the festival? The stage is set to be packed full of incredible line up acts, and the new Jam Factory acoustic stage will be welcoming the music of exciting new artists.
The entertainment most certainly doesn’t stop there, with one of Hereford’s biggest music line-up of acts to enjoy and experience including: Banger Hour, Eliza May, Honey B McKenna, Kaiju Blue/Honey B, Skinny Living, Ten Tonnes, Cherym, Jack Valero + Band and The Manatees.
Devour delicious street food:
Street food vendors include everything from the iconic Beefy Boys, to stonebaked pizzas from Origin Pizza, the tempting mac & cheese sensation, MacMan, to traditional handmade Chinese Dumplings, Bao buns, Noodles, and bubble tea from retailer, Happy Dumplings.
Not only will there be a large selection of larger dishes and mains covering various cuisines, there will be a generous selection of coffee, dessert and drink options to enjoy including El Coffee Shack, and Shepherds Ice Cream.
Running alongside the impressive food offering, there will be chef demos and master classes from the likes of Sakunthala Chandrasekara from GBBO 2023, and Liz Knight of Forage Fine Foods.
Shop and support local businesses:
Shoppers will rejoice for the return of the Wye Valley Maker’s Market. With locally made items and businesses promoting and selling their services, there will be plenty on offer.
Some independent retailers that are expected to be showcased at the upcoming festival include: Rochfield Gin, Lucky 7 Beer, Peublo Artisan Food and Boozie Brownies.
