A striking yellow helicopter has been spotted flying over the city this morning (August 27) and has been making its way across the county.
Herefordshire residents may have seen the yellow electricity helicopter, after it flew over Hereford and the surrounding areas from 10.50am this morning.
The helicopter originally set off from Bristol Airport at around 10.30am, according to Flight Radar.
It flew over south Herefordshire and then over parts of the city, before continuing its path in the north of the county, flying over Queenswood Country Park near Leominster, and subsequently over part of the market town at 10.53am.
The unique helicopter was last seen flying over the border into Shropshire at around 10.56am, however its final destination is unknown.
The striking electricity helicopters are owned by the National Grid and are used to check the status and safety of power lines around the country. The company has also said its fleet of helicopters help with lifting and patrolling support for projects, and dealing with the impact and aftermath of severe weather.
The helicopter unit, based at Bristol Airport, patrols over 45,000km of overhead network every year.
