West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash on the A49 in Herefordshire last night (28 August), which left four people injured. 

The police force have said the collision occurred just before 11pm at temporary traffic lights between Dinmore Manor Lane and Auberrow Lane in Wellington.

The main Herefordshire road was closed in both directions last night, after reports of a crash at around 11pm. 

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police were all called to the scene.

The police force have said that three vehicles were involved, a Hynudai Tuscon which was travelling south bound and a Vauxhall Corsa and a Mercedes Vito Van which were travelling north bound.

Four people were injured including a woman with serious injuries. All four were taken to hospital.
