AFTER rave reviews for its 2023 smash-hit Dick Whittington, The Courtyard’s award-winning Christmas pantomime is back, this time with Sleeping Beauty.

The pantomime is back and better than ever, with something for all ages this year, with several different shows to take place.

The high in demand show promises to transport audiences into a fairy-tale land of “magical mayhem”, with an “enchanted slumber that only true love can remedy”.

The Sleeping Beauty show is described as the full “Pantomime experience”, featuring plenty of  musical numbers, a sensational live band, intricate sets, and of course, a  wicked spell or two for the audience to witness.

The pantomime will showcase all the classic “panto shenanigans” live on stage, and will be filled to the brim with jokes, pantomime traditions, and lots of chances for the audience to participate.

The Courtyard have said there will also be a “relaxed performance” which will be situatable for individuals with autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, sensory and communication difficulties, or for those living with dementia. This performance will take place on Friday December 20 at 1pm.

The Courtyard Audio Description Association (CADA) will be audio describing a performance on Saturday 14 December at 2pm and a British Sign Language signed performance will take place on Sunday 15 December at 5pm.

For those looking for some “grown-up fun” can come along to one of the Sleeping Beauty Adult Nights, which will take place on: December 7, December 13, December 20, December 27, and January 3 at 8pm.

These special late-night performances are said to provide a “memorable night of innuendo and adult humour” and are strictly for over 18s.

For those wanting to keep the night going, guests are invited to stay for a free after-party in The Courtyard Café Bar with live music, DJs and dancing.

Audiences can expect plenty of familiar references and Herefordshire based jokes, as well as the return of previous favourite panto performers Andrew Franklin, Dion Davies and Madi MacMahon.

Sleeping Beauty will be in The Courtyard’s Main House from Wednesday 27 November 2024 – Saturday 4 January 2025. To book tickets, or for more information contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk.
