A STUNNING character shop is heading for auction in a Herefordshire market town.

The grade II listed building has been home to an antiques shop in Ross-on-Wye for the last 40 years and was initially put on the market with agents Jackson Preece for £315,000 in 2021.

Set opposite Aldi in Brookend Street, one of the town's main shopping streets, the shop is arranged over three floors.

The marketing agents said at the time the majority of the property is traditionally built and includes a wealth of timbered walls and ceilings.

But now the eye-catching building is set to head to auction, with bids starting from £130,000.

At present, the building has retail showrooms and storage downstairs, retail space, office, kitchen and bathroom on the first floor, and a further retail space on the second floor.

The building will go to auction on September 24.
