A HEREFORD lawyer is celebrating success after completing her training contract.
Charmaine Reynolds is now beginning her career as a fully-qualified family law solicitor at Humfrys and Symonds, based in Saint John Street.
Mrs Reynolds, 24, started her training in January 2023 after completing a law degree and a legal practice course (LPC).
She said: "I have always had an interest in the law, following in my mother's footsteps. My interests in law flourished when I started at Hereford Sixth Form College where I studied A-level law. From day one I wanted to develop my passion further.
"I went on to study law at university. At university, I had the opportunity to study areas of the law in greater depth.
"Despite Covid-19, I graduated Staffordshire University with a law degree in 2021 and went on to continue and complete my LPC in 2022."

She describes the opportunities that have been given to her at the Hereford solicitors as an "honour", saying: "I started at Humfrys and Symonds in 2022 and obtained my training contract which commenced in 2023. This was an honour, and I am thankful to Humfrys and Symonds for believing in me and giving me that chance.
"I have had the opportunity to work in multiple departments. While working in each department I have been able to develop, and I am grateful for all the support to allow me to get to this stage in my career. I have enjoyed the challenges and the learning process which have allowed me to develop skills which will assist me throughout my career.
"After completing my training contract I now have an amazing opportunity to start my career as a solicitor in the family law department."
Mrs Reynolds is excited for her future at the law firm. She said: "At Humfrys and Symonds, I have been able to progress and achieve my dreams. I am excited for what the future holds for me in my career at Humfrys and Symonds."
