A Herefordshire couple have featured on a popular TV show, house hunting in the sun.
Ewen and Sarah Grange are some of the latest buyers to feature on a Place in the Sun, touring Denia in Spain to find their dream property near the beach.
The couple, from Kingsland who have renovated three properties in their five years together, said they have dreamt of owning a Spanish property for years, ever since they got engaged in the country.
After watching the popular Channel 4 show only three weeks beforehand, the couple were delighted to receive a phone call on the same day after submitting their application, with Ewen saying it was “too good for an opportunity to miss”.
The couple were shown five very different properties around Denia by the presenter Leah Charles King, with two strong contenders of which one became the clear favourite
The Herefordshire couple were looking for a traditional Spanish area to settle in, near a village with restaurant and bars and within 20 minutes of beaches. The husband and wife set the show a task of finding them a property with a minimum of three bedrooms, with access to a pool.

“We stayed with the film crew and presenter in the same hotel and became a team for the whole week.
“Breakfast and lunches spent together meant the presenter and producer got to know us well. Leah Charles King was lovely both on screen and off screen and the whole crew made us feel very comfortable.
“Filming took place all week between 9 and 6. Each house took around three hours of filming which gets edited down to around 10 minutes. We also had several scenes of places of interest which was amazing to see.
“Both myself and Sarah are very passionate about property and we found it natural to talk about the properties shown with ease, even though there were several takes of the same scene.
Mr Grange added that they “still can’t believe this has happened and we are buzzing from an amazing experience.”
Keen viewers will have to wait sometime before finding out whether the couple managed to seal the deal on any properties, with the show set to air next year.
