A new Hereford steak restaurant plans to stay open and even offer entertainment till midnight.
Due to open soon at Unit P2 of the Old Market, previously occupied by the Italian-themed Wildwood, En Steak already has a branch in Birmingham.
Its Hereford branch Facebook page, set up last month, described the planned venture as “a proudly independent, family-run, local business serving Hereford cattle sourced from award-winning Hereford butchers and Herefordshire farms”.

The meats “are dry-aged and cooked over charcoal and cherry wood, adding a unique smokiness to our dishes”, it adds.
Miss Phanphilat Khamluean of the restaurant has now applied for a licence to serve food and alcohol until midnight seven days a week.

An En Korean barbecue and sushi restaurant opened three years ago on the opposite side of Garrick Lane, the Old Market’s main thoroughfare.
