POLICE have given an update after a mother reported that liquid had been thrown over her and her child in Hereford.
They were said to have been walking down Faraday Road yesterday afternoon (September 16), not long after midday, when an "odourless liquid" was thrown over them. Police have said the liquid is suspected to be water and that it was not harmful to the mother and child.

Neither mother nor child were injured in the incident, which police have said officers will be treating as an alleged assault.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "An assault on Faraday Road was reported to us at around 12.25pm yesterday afternoon. An odourless and unharmful liquid, suspected to be water, was thrown over a woman and her child while walking down the road. No injuries were reported."
The spokesperson added that enquiries are ongoing into the assault incident after it was reported yesterday.
