Fire and rescue service crew have been responding to an incident in Whitestone this evening, after homes have been flooded.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue service said that they are in attendance at an on-going incident in Whitestone in the county this evening, after properties were flooded due to this evenings extreme weather conditions.
The spokesperson said that one crew was in attendance from Fownhope, and have been working to pump out water from properties, one of these is said to have around 2 foot and 6 inches of water inside.
The crew is currently working to remove the flood water, by pumping it out into a nearby field, the spokesperson added.
The fire service added that the properties affected were along the A4103, which remains closed after significant flooding to the area this evening.
The dramatic flooding comes after the county has been plunged into chaos this evening, with flash flooding closing several roads and businesses.
Earlier, Morrison's in Ross-on-Wye was forced to close after several roof panels caved in, and let water into the store. Home Bargains in Hereford's Holmer Road was also forced to close its doors early than expected, due to a "health and safety risk".
