ANOTHER weather warning has been issued for parts of the county, adding to the growing list of Met Office warnings that have affected the county recently.

The Met Office has announced that a yellow weather warning will come into place today (September 29) from 4 pm and is expected to remain in force until 9 am tomorrow.

The yellow rain warning, suggests that further heavy rain is likely to cause some travel delays and flooding this evening and through the night.

The warning only covers parts of south and south-east Herefordshire, with Ross-on-Wye and the surrounding areas included.

The Met Office has said that much of the warning area is likely to see 20-30 mm fall over 9-12 hours, though some places may see 50-80 mm.

What should I expect?

The Met Office has said some interruption to power supplies and other services is possible within the affected areas, and spraying and flooding on roads could increase journey times.

Bus and train services could also be affected with journey times taking longer. The warning also added that flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.
