A public consultation is to be held to discuss emerging plans to build 1500 new homes in Leominster.
In a letter published by Leominster Town Council, the Pegasus group, a development consultancy, has invited local residents to a public consultation next month to discuss their client's plans to build 1500 new homes and a 420-place primary school on land in the south of the market town.
The proposals also include for 25 per cent of the homes to be classed as affordable housing and for a local community centre and supermarket to be built. Plans for children's play areas and allotments to be included in the area were also mentioned.
The new development would also see a 'relief' road be built which would run from Barons Cross Road to Hereford Road.

Pegasus Group have said their client's vision for the emerging plans is to create an attractive green setting, for the enjoyment of both existing and future residents.
Other areas of the proposed site would be set aside for wildlife protection, with significant amounts of landscaping to contribute to the area's biodiversity.
The group added that the consultation, which will be held at Leominster's Sports and Social Club in South Street on October 7, would allow residents to share their thoughts on the emerging plans and to offer help and insight to shape the developing plans.
