Fire crews were called to a Herefordshire village after a blaze broke out in a barn.
Crews from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue service descended on the scene of a fire in Orleton yesterday (October 2) at around 5.09 pm, after the fire broke out in a nearby agricultural building.
Crews worked to extinguish the blaze, with straw in the barn "well alight".
The service said that four hose reel jets were in use to tackle the blaze, augmented by the water carrier and a water shuttle.

Farm machinery was successfully removed from the barn, and nearby cattle were moved to a safe area. The crew also worked to establish the structural stability of the barn before the removal of the bails.
A spokesperson for the service added: "Positive pressure and natural ventilation were used with two hose reel jets in use to dampen down surrounding buildings.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required. The incident has now been scaled back to one fire engine, a relief crew from Hereford Fire Station, who remain at the scene".
