The A49 in Hereford is expected to be disrupted for several days, for vital repair works to take place.

Hereford Highways has said that there will be a lane closure in place on the busy A road from October 4 to October 6 until 6 am, in order for National Highways to carry out a curb replacement in the area.

Hereford Highways has said that northbound traffic on the busy Ross Road near the Welsh Club, will need to use the right-hand lane for a short section, but the left turn onto Belmont Road will still be permitted.

This latest disruption adds to the list of closures and diversions that the A49 in Hereford has seen recently.

Maintenance work began in the area in late September, with National Highways previously saying that until Wednesday, 23 October, 8pm to 6 am on weeknights, there will be temporary traffic lights between Ross Road/Asda Roundabout to Ross Road/Walnut Tree Avenue.
