Hereford's Strictly Come Dancing star and his dancing partner have been SAVED from being booted from the competition.

Comedian Chris McCausland and his pro-dance partner Dianne Buswell were told by host Tess Daly tonight (October 6) that thanks to the public vote, they had made it through to next week's performance, and would not be subject to a dance-off.

The pair, dressed as characters from the movie Wayne's World, look thrilled as their fate was announced.

Talking to host Claudia Winkleman, McCausland said his partner has "managed to get a tune out of this beaten up old car" despite his initial fears that he would not last more than two weeks on the show.

The duo appeared on the stage last night (October 5) dancing the jive to Wayne's World as part of Strictly's movie week.

The judges were quick to have their word on the performance.

Head judge Craig Revel-Horwood described their jive as "packed full of fantastic rhythm."
