THREE intrepid cyclists have taken to the roads to raise a fantastic sum for a Hereford charity.
Herbie Knott,75, of Weobley, James Richardson, 44, and his son Alex Richardson, 13, both formerly of Weobley, now of Malvern Wells, spent four days cycling the 118 hilly miles from Cardigan to Porthmadog to raise funds for St Michael's Hospice.

They have raised £1,919 for St Michael's Hospice on their self-generated ride in memory of Dr Martin Moore of Bredenbury and Stuart Elder, landlord of the Salutation at Weobley. Both died this year, having received superb care from St Michael's.
"Having designed our outline route it was so inspiring to have young Alex onboard," said Mr Knott.

"At every "diversion" he was totally onboard with discussions about what lay ahead. He learned how to read OS map contours so quickly."
Alex, a pupil at The Chase School, Malvern, said: "It was brilliant. I've never seen such amazing scenery. I'd never ridden my bike more than 20 miles before this and now I want to take my bike out every day after school."
