A HUNT has been launched after a crossbow bolt was shot into a shed in Herefordshire.

The incident took place in Breinton, on the outskirts of Hereford, on September 25.

A crossbow bolt was fired into a shed, causing damage. No-one was injured but, police community support officer Adam Westlake said, this is a serious matter that could have resulted in harm.

"This incident is concerning, but we do not believe it is linked to the incident in Hereford on October 4," PCSO Westlake said.

The October 4 incident saw a man arrested after he was seen in the area of Hereford's Folly Lane colleges and Wetherspoon with a bow and arrow.
