AN EMERGENCY road closure has been put in place near a Herefordshire town, with drivers warned that delays are likely in the area.
Hereford Highways said Hollow Lane in Staplow, near Ledbury, is closed until midnight on Thursday (October 10) for Welsh Water to complete mains renewal works.
Herefordshire Council says that "delays are likely" around Hollow Lane and that any diversion will be signposted locally.

Explaining the process of mains renewal works, Welsh Water's website says: "We use a combination of traditional and innovative methods so that we can get the work done as quickly as possible while trying our best to minimise disruption wherever possible.
"Most customers will not be affected by the work and will probably not even notice the work being done, but we will write to any customers that may be affected with the information they will need."
Welsh Water's website does not have information on the Hollow Lane works.
