A road near Ross-on-Wye has been closed today so emergency works can take place.
Ross-on-Wye's town council announced today (October 9) that Wilton Road has been closed by contractors, Balfour Beatty, so that emergency tree works can be carried out in the area.
The council has advised that drivers should take a nearby diversion, which would be via Wye Street.
Ross on Wye has seen some hefty diversions recently, with part of the A40 being shut for two days in September, meaning that drivers faced a 28-mile diversion to get to Monmouth.

Drivers were asked to take a diversion through Ross-on-Wye down the A40 to Huntley, near Gloucester, before travelling through the Forest of Dean to Monmouth.
The usual journey time between the market town and Monmouth is around 15 minutes over a 10 mile route.
The road was closed from the Wilton roundabout to Dixton for resurfacing work, and finished on September 25.
