A LORRY ban has been announced for a busy Herefordshire A-road.
Lorries will be banned from the A4103 Roman Road later this month while works are being carried out.
A notice published by Herefordshire Council said that it has made a temporary heavy goods vehicle width restriction order to temporarily prohibit the use of the A4103 Roman Road in Holmer, Hereford, by lorries.

The restriction will come into force on October 25 and is necessary as there will be insufficient road width for heavy goods vehicles during utility meter works and due to the likelihood of danger to the public while works are taking place, the council said.
The restriction will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, but the works are expected to be completed within 11 days, Herefordshire Council said.
Herefordshire Council's roadworks map shows works will be carried out in the area by Welsh Water from October 25 to November 4, with "some highway incursion" expected but delays said to be "unlikely".
