A FIRE broke out near a church in Herefordshire, after it was deliberately ignited.
Crews from Leominster Fire station were called to the Priory Church in Leominster on October 6 at around 2.30 pm, after a fire was found at the rear of the market town church.
Crews found a small fire on a roof connecting to the church had been extinguished before their arrival. However, the attending crews then used a bucket of water to cool the area.

A spokesperson for Herefordshire and Worcestershire Fire and Rescue Service said that there were no casualties.
However, the service did confirm that police were requested to attend the incident due to deliberate ignition.
The incident was marked as pending closure at 15:10.
