LORRIES will be banned from a Herefordshire A-road this month amid renovation works.
The ban will come into force on October 21, a notice published by Herefordshire Council said.
The council said it has made a temporary heavy goods vehicle restriction order for the A480 from Stocks Lane to the A44 at Lyonshall.

The restriction is required due to insufficient road width for lorries on the road while renovation works are taking place, with a building under full scaffold, the notice explains.
Lorries have previously become stuck at the Stocks Lane junction, where the A480 takes a sharp 90 degree turn as it heads out of the village towards Kington.
The road will remain open to smaller vehicles throughout the works.
Herefordshire Council said the works are expected to be completed in around four weeks, although the restriction could remain in place for up to 18 months if necessary.
